Group from Hsinchu's Hsinlei Art School travels to Cupertino in the US to perform at the 7th Kids’n Fun Festival
Established 26 years ago in Hsinchu County, Hsinlei Art School has been invited to represent Hsinchu County at the 7th Kids’n Fun Festival from August 10-20. Invited by the Taiwan Hakka associations of north and south California and TECO’s San Francisco and Los Angeles culture centers, they will also present two special performances titled Hakka Feeling Reproduced, winning glory for the dance, arts and Hakka culture of Hsinchu County.

Hsinlei Art School previously represented Hsinchu County with great distinction in promoting people-to-people diplomacy for consecutive three years, at the 2014 Macau Cross-straits Hakka Festival, and 2015 Singapore Hakka Festival and the Taiwan International Festival of Hakka Culture. Inspecting the pre-departure public performance on August 8, Magistrate Chiu Ching-chun praised the beauty of Hakka culture. He said that Hsinlei Art School has performed brilliantly at various international events and won much acclaim. He hoped that this time would bring smiles and confidence and once again win glory for Hsinchu County. He said that, if a certain level of performance is achieved, any outstanding arts or cultural group in the county will be recommended for overseas performance to promote the county internationally.

Hsinlei Artschol’s artistic director Wang Ren-ho thanked Magistrate Chiu and Bureau of Culture director Tsai Rong-guang for building a bridge for people to people diplomacy and providing children who love to dance a chance to perform in other countries and, in doing so, raising their aspirations and widening their international vision, not only entertaining overseas Chinese and displaying  the vibrant culture of Hsinchu County, but also exchanging with and learning from performing groups from other countries and making friends.

This time, Hsinlei Art School has been invited to perform at the opening ceremony of the 7th Kids' n Fun Festival, which will be held on August 10-20 in Cupertino, California, USA. Arranged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the group will also perform at the TECO Bay Area Culture Center and TECO Los Angeles Culture Center on August 14 and 17 respectively, allowing international audiences to enjoy the artistic feast meticulously prepared by Hsinlei Art School and also exhibiting the beauty of the Hakka culture of Hsinchu.
