Magistrate Chiu organizes a celebration dinner in recognition of effort of players and coaches to bag 8 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze medals for Hsinchu County in 2014 National High School GamesHsinchu County seized 8 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze medals in the 2014 National High School Games, and pocketed 1 gold and 3 bronze medals in the 2014 National Primary Schools Games. To express the County government’s recognition of the awarded students and coaches’ hard work, Magistrate Chiu Ching-Chun invited them to celebrate their honors in the celebration dinner and also delivered the awards to them as an encouragement.
 
In the 2014 National High School Games, Hsinchu County won 8 gold, 9 silver and 9 bronze medals, and 4 players even broke the national records in 3 events of track and field race walking. 69 players who placed the top 6 in 53 events were granted a total of NT$ 1,669,500 as the rewards based on the County’s guidelines for granting awards to excellent players, coaches and schools in national large-scale sporting events.
 
In the 2014 National Primary Schools Track and Field Championships, Hsinchu County won 1 gold and 3 bronze medals, and the winning students and their coaches were awarded a total of NT$ 21,000 based on the County’s guidelines for granting awards to excellent players, coaches and schools in national large-scale sporting events.
 
Magistrate Chiu, Deputy Magistrate Chang Jen-Hsang, Councilor He Gan-Ming, Su Ming-Hui, Zheng Mei-Qin, Provincial Consultative Councilor Zhang Bi-Qin, Vice President of Zhubei City Representative Council Du Wen-Zhong, many elected representatives as well as the principals of junior high and primary schools and attendees from the sports circle also participated in the celebration party, and encouraged the players to fight for more victories and to transcend themselves. Magistrate Chiu stressed that the County government would not hesitate to grant rewards if the players can perform excellently in the games.
