Hsinchu County’s sister city, the Village of Westmont in Chicago, IL, USA, is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Ms. Yang Yu-Hsuan, Chairlady of the Taiwanese American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Chicago and also an Advisory Committee Member of the Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce of North America, paid a visit to County Magistrate Yang Wen-Ke in the morning of October 14 and brought a greeting letter, commemorative coins, and limited-edition teddy bears on behalf of Westmont Mayor Ron Gunter to share the joy of Westmont’s 100th anniversary.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and his busy schedule, Magistrate Yang was unable to attend Westmont’s 100th anniversary in person, but has asked Chairlady Yang to pass on his best wishes from Hsinchu County and a selection of Oriental Beauty oolong tea to Mayor Gunter. Magistrate Yang said that he will continue to strengthen exchanges between the two towns to enhance the friendship, and will keep seeking opportunities for cooperation in the areas of economics, trade, technology and eHealth.
