Hsinchu County Government was invited to the Taiwan Impression-2017 Cross-strait Taiwan Business Product Sales Exhibition held in Shanghai. Local agricultural products form Hsinchu County such as Oriental Beauty Tea, grass jelly, honey and olives were on display, attracting local media’s attentions. The Hsinchu County booths drew many visitors and sold out of Oriental Beauty Tea and olives within one day.
The Taiwan Impression-2017 Cross-strait Taiwan Business Product Sales Exhibition kicked off at Shanghai Exhibition Center on May 28. With more than 200 suppliers involved, the Exhibition featured various industries including technology, cultural creativity, agriculture, food and tourism. It aimed to promote the mutually-beneficial development of cross-strait industries to create a multi-win situation.
Hsinchu County Government set up more than a dozen booths at the Exhibition, with the county’s farm produce, Hakka floral fabric and Zhang Xueliang-themed cultural creative products on display. Hsinchu County Government sought to attract Chinese visitors to Hsinchu County. Through the easy travel routes the government suggests, visitors could perceive the charms of Hakka culture by tasting dried persimmons, experiencing persimmon dyeing, enjoying hot spring bathing at Jianshi Township, or strolling along Beipu Old Street.
Also, Hsinchu County will host the annual meeting of the three Zhang Xue-liang museums in China and Taiwan this year. Qingquan village in Wufeng Township is ready to greet visitors from China and aims to promote Hakka spirit and culture.
