With the aim of promoting tourism, Hsinchu County Government has cooperated with Chunghwa Telecom and GoodsCome to release the Hsinchu County travel bundle “i-ticket”. On April 11, Magistrate Chiu Ching-chun and Xue Rong-tao, Vice-president of Chunghwa Telecom’s Hsinchu Business Office and Lai Liang-bin, Vice-president of GoodsCome, and other special guests, announced the official launch of the Hsinchu County travel bundle. The tickets were tried out onsite, giving guests an understanding of the convenient interface and rich content.
During the event, Magistrate Chiu thanked Chunghwa Telecom for its assistance and cooperation. A smart phone or tablet, backpackers and travelers from across Taiwan can enjoy the mountains, seas, and lake sceneries of the county. He invites everyone to Hsinchu County to enjoy a smart and inexpensive trip.
VP Xue said that visitors can download the travel “i-ticket” APP introduced by Hsinchu County Government and then view expert-recommended scenic spots and good food, allowing people to enjoy a relaxed and self-assured trip.
The i-ticket offers an O2O all new travel experience: On the official website (online,) people can learn about the beauty of Hsinchu through expert introductions. After selecting travel packages that interests them and paying by credit card, the smart phone app can be used to visit all the scenic spots of Hsinchu County (offline). By letting the barcode on the app be scanned at i-ticket cooperating stores, after the beep is heard users will know their transaction is complete, allowing a visualized travel purchase experience to be easily experienced.
Hsinchu County is endowed with abundant tourism resources and the county government has spared no effort with regards to promoting tourism in recent years. In particular, in recent years, with the Neiwan branch line and the nine stations on it as the centerpiece, a distinctive railway tourism settlement has been promoted, including Zhudong Animation and Comic Creative Park Enchanted Forest, “love station” Hexing Station, and Neiwan distinctive shopping circle, attracting large numbers of visitors from Taiwan and overseas.
Xue Rong-tao pointed out that i-ticket went on sale on New Year’s Day 2016 and to date travel i-ticket services have been introduced in Hsinchu City, Keelung City and Taoyuan City etc. Through cooperation with local government and various stores, technology is used to cleverly link the scenic spots and distinctive stores nearby across Taiwan. Each tour package has been carefully planned to add width and depth to travel.
Hsinchu County offers technology, culture and beautiful sceneries; it has the cutting edge technology of the science parks and biomedical park and Hakka cultural charm of places like Neiwan and Beipu. The county also has magnificent mountain scenery and the vast sea. Cooperation this time allows the content of the travel i-ticket to fully reflect the beauty of the life culture of Hakka settlements, offering an alternative, more complete and more attractive travel experience.
