Hngyang Na Atayal won two gold medals and one silver medal at the European Choir Games and Grand Prix of NationsThe “light of Hsinchu” dazzles the world! The Hngyang Na Atayal choir attended the European Choir games and Grand Prix in Magdeburg in Germany between the 5th and 16th of July, and won gold medals in the Chamber Choirs/ Vocal Ensembles category and the Folklore category in the Open Competition, as well as winning silver medal in the Folklore category in the Grand Prix of Nations, once again making the world bear witness to the enchanting brilliance of heavenly Atayal music.
After 2013, when the Atayal Children's Choir of the Unique Atayal College took part in the International Johannes Brahms Choir Festival and Competition and won a silver medal, Hngyang Na Atayal participated in the German European Choir Games this time, came together with tens of other choirs from around the world to learn from and compete against each other. Hngyang Na Atayal performed outstandingly and was recognized with two gold medals and one silver medal; the Taipei Representative Office in Germany sent representatives to congratulate the singers.
The Unique Atayal College founded The Atayal Children's Choir and Hngyang Na Atayal in succession in 2008. A choir of 40 Atayal youths from Hsinchu's Jianshi and Jinping Elementary Schools attended the 4th Vietnamese International Choir Competition, held by the German INTERKULTUR Foundation, and were honored with a silver medal. Magistrate Chiu Ching-chun and their families were very proud, and today they were all the happier for hearing that Hngyang Na Atayal won two gold medals and a silver medal. Magistrate Chiu said that transmitting the heavenly music of the Indigenous Taiwanese to the whole world made Hsinchu go out into the world, and also let the world see Taiwan.
 Between the 6th and 12th days of the next month, The Atayal Children's Choir has also been invited to the 2015 International Ethnic Minority Song Festival in Inner Mongolia, where they will give performances and learn from other musicians. Their families hope that traditional Atayal music and culture will once again take a position on the international stage.
