Meet International Comics Stars on November 1Since the launch of Taiwan Comics Dream Park Project in 2013, the Hsinchu County Government has held various events such as Art Festivals and Classic Masters. The celebration campaign will end shortly after the completion of Zhudong Comics Park construction. To attract more people to come, the Hsinchu County Government held Difference between the East and the West: International Comics Forum on October 30, Joint Exhibition of International Classic Comics Masters and Creative Painting: Hundreds and Thousands of Scenes on Nov 1. People will have the opportunity to paint with comics masters. There will also be a signing event with giveaways of limited souvenirs. People can register on the day of the event.
To turn Taiwan Comics Dream Park into an international event, the organizer invited Olivier Tallec, a French genius illustrator, Max Ducos, world-renowned French picture book author, Huang Jia-Wei, Chinese rising star comics artist, Taiwanese artists, representatives from the TV and film industries, and academic representatives to exchange ideas at the Multimedia Hall at Zhudong Comics Park from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on October 30. At this forum, the participants will discuss differences between the East and the West in the development of comics industry, the environment for cultivating artists, required abilities artists should possess, and the development of global comics market. It is open to the general public. In addition, the first 30 people to register for the event at the service counter will receive an exquisite gift from the organizer. There is also a lantern painting event after the forum. Please register as soon as possible since the space is limited.
The opening ceremony of 111 Space in Time Joint Exhibition of International Classic Comics Masters will take place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 1. 30 participants can register on the second floor of the Multimedia Hall to participate in Creative Painting: Hundreds and Thousands of Scenes with Max Ducos and Huang Jia-Wei. People can leave their DIY lanterns displaying at the exhibition or take them home as gifts. The two comics artists will also hold a signing event from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. 60 souvenir sets of the two artists will be given away. Everyone is welcome to come for this rare opportunity to meet them.
