Both average and median total incomes in Zhubei City rank top in Taiwan

According to the preliminary statistics released by the Ministry of Finance on the 2019 Individual Income Tax, the average total income in Hsinchu County is NT$1.216 million, ranking third in the country. Within the county, Zhubei City has an average total income of NT$1.442 million and a median total income of NT$ 857,000, both ranking top among the 368 townships and cities in the nation. Furthermore, among the 7,760 villages across the country within the top 20 median total income, half are in Zhubei City.
The Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics indicated that according to the Ministry of Finance, the average total income in Hsinchu County is NT$1.216 million, ranking third in the country and second only to Hsinchu City and Taipei City. Compared with NT$1.19 million in 2018, Hsinchu County has an increase of NT$26,000 in average total income. The median total income in Hsinchu County is NT$775,000, ranking fourth in the country and second only to Lienchiang County, Hsinchu City, and Taipei City. Compared to NT$ 757,000 in 2018, it is an increase of NT$18,000.
According to the Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, among the 13 townships and cities in Hsinchu County, the top 3 in average and median total incomes are Zhubei City, Baoshan Township and Zhudong Township, with an average total income of NT$1.442 million, NT$1.116 million, and NT$816,000, respectively. The average total incomes of the top two exceeds NT$1 million. Furthermore, among the townships and cities in the nation ranking top 20 in median total income, half are in Zhubei City, including Dongpingli, Luchangli, Zhongxingli, Shixingli, Aikouli, Beixingli, ZhongLunli, Dongxingli, Xinganli and Doulunli. These villages are mainly located near the high-speed railway zone.
County Magistrate Yang Wen-Ke said that Hsinchu County is a young, technological, and culturally prosperous city. To continue its prosperity into the next 30 years, he has been dedicated to building the county around the four main axes of "striving for the economy, emphasizing culture and education, enjoying welfare, and living in peace". Despite the pandemic, the Hsinchu County Government has remained steadfast in promoting its Five Targets of major construction, namely the International AI Smart Park, the Taiwan Knowledge-based Economy Flagship Park, the third phase of the Hsinchu Science Industrial Park, the BOO incinerator project and the Life Memorial Park as well as its Ten Major Transportation Constructions. The County Government expects to turn in an achievement report that satisfies its residents and bring long-term prosperity to its communities.
