On May 10th, Deputy Magistrate Yang Wen-ke, who was on behalf of Magistrate Chiu Ching-chun, dropped in at each office in the county hall to give away “specially made Mother’s Day dessert boxes” to all government employees and wish everyone a happy Mother’s Day in advance. Deputy Magistrate Yang showed great admiration to female employees, especially those who need to strike a balance between their work and family. His sincere words: “thank you for your devotion” and “happy Mother’s Day” warmed the hearts of many female employees. From the front building to the back building, from the first floor to the sixth floor, Deputy Magistrate Yang also gave his best wishes to people who would like to access government services, which was really a big surprise to everyone.
This year’s specially made Mother’s Day dessert boxes amazed all the employees. They were made by the bakery of Hsiangyuan Home for the Disabled. All of their products are health-oriented. They use chemical-free eggs and make products with low sugar and fat content. Food security has been one of the biggest issues people care about; therefore the county government specially ordered the dessert boxes from the charitable institution so that those who received the dessert boxes could share this healthy gift of love with their mothers and families.
Principal of Hsiangyuan Home for the Disabled, Huang hui-yu showed appreciation to Hsinchu County Government for ordering 1,000 dessert boxes. On May 8th, Principal Huang presented Hsinchu County Government with a certificate of appreciation, which was received by Magistrate Chiu. Magistrate Chiu indicated that the county government has showed great concerns to those disadvantaged groups. He encouraged the public to join what the county government did, to cheer for those hard-working people in the institution and to make the society warmer.
