民國3年興建，7年落成的三元宮與湖口老街相連，和天主堂分別成為老湖口人東方和西方不同的信仰中心。這座典型的客家廟宇供奉三官大帝:堯、舜、禹，也就是天官、地官、水官。每年正月的媽祖祭典是年度盛事，進香、迎聖駕、遊庄等行程為老湖口帶來滿滿活力。 Sanyuan Temple is adjacent to Hukou Old Street. It and the Catholic Church are two distinctive religious centers. One is oriental and the other is western. The Festival of the Goddess of the Sea is in January. Believers come here to worship and welcome Matzu and bring abundant vigor and life into Old Hukou.
