精通樂曲的「台灣歌謠之父」鄧雨賢，於1906年生於龍潭，1940年遷至芎林，1944年與世長辭，得年39歲。他創作歌曲無數，如「望春風」、「雨夜花」等名曲，至今仍傳唱不歇，地方為感念他，特興建音樂文化公園。鄧雨賢的曾祖父鄧兆熊是前清的秀才， 住在芎林鄉， 為文林閣的創始人，寺內佈置鄧雨賢的書面紀念展示等，若想更了解其人其作，亦可移駕文林閣參觀。 The talented Yusian Deng, father of Taiwanese songs, composed many well-known songs, such as “Wangchunfong” and “Yuyehua”,which are still sung nowadays. This memorial park was established to honor him. Yusian Deng’s great grandfather,Jhaotai Deng, who lived in Chiunglin Township, passed the governmental test in early Cing dynasty and was the founder of Wunlin Attic.
