聖女小德蘭教堂為天主教新竹教區主要朝聖地，又稱新城天主堂。小德蘭是一位西班牙的天主教聖徒，普受後世天主教徒景仰，世界各地都有以德蘭為名的天主教堂。教堂外巨幅的小德蘭聖像，莊嚴慈祥，因為位置鄰近高速公路，許多驅車經過的民眾都會因此被吸引，久之竟也成了寶山的地標之一。 St. Teresa Church is a major shrine of catholic Hsinchu Parish, and it is also called Sincheng Catholic Church. There is a big portrait of little Saint Teresa, solemn and kindly, outside the church. As the church is near a freeway, a lot of people driving by are attracted by the portrait. As time passes, the church has become one of the landmarks of Paoshan.
