雪霸國家公園位處新竹、苗栗、台中三縣界，以雪山山脈為核心地段主體，包含：雪山、大霸尖山、大小劍山、大雪山以及武陵四秀等1 9座名列台灣百岳的高山。雪霸國家公園總面積76,850公頃，名
稱以「雪山」與世界奇峰「大霸尖山」共同命名，為台灣第五座國家公園。雪霸，不僅擁有山岳峻嶺氣魄，更擁有圈谷、湖泊、斷崖、高山、峽谷、河階等等複雜繁麗的地形面貌，讓人目不暇給。
